Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) is a Internet-based data research service that provides users access to data in disciplines such as accounting, economics, finance, marketing, and statistics. Data is compiled from independent sources like S&P Capital IQ, NYSE, CRSP, and Thomson Reuters, and can either be accessed through the web interface or downloaded directly to PC.
Anyone with a valid Pace email account may use WRDS. In order to do so, you must register to obtain an individual account.
Step 1: Find the WRDS website at http://wrds.wharton.upenn.edu
Step 2: On the left-hand side click on the link entitled "Register for a WRDS Account."
Step 3: Fill out the Account Request form. Be sure to use your Pace and not your personal email address.
Step 4: Once your account has been created, an e-mail with your Log-in and Password information will be sent to Pace's WRDS Representative, Thomas Miliano at firstname.lastname@example.org, who will forward the information to you. This is part of our Authentication Process to ensure that no one outside of Pace attempts to receive an account.
Step 5: You may log into WRDS and begin using your new account. Because our service is internet-based, you can access WRDS from anywhere in the world!
