Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) is a Internet-based data research service that provides users access to data in disciplines such as accounting, economics, finance, marketing, and statistics. Data is compiled from independent sources like S&P Capital IQ, NYSE, CRSP, and Thomson Reuters, and can either be accessed through the web interface or downloaded directly to PC.

Anyone with a valid Pace email account may use WRDS. In order to do so, you must register to obtain an individual account.

Step 1: Find the WRDS website at
Step 2: On the left-hand side click on the link entitled "Register for a WRDS Account."
Step 3: Fill out the Account Request form. Be sure to use your Pace and not your personal email address.
Step 4: Once your account has been created, an e-mail with your Log-in and Password information will be sent to Pace's WRDS Representative, Thomas Miliano at, who will forward the information to you. This is part of our Authentication Process to ensure that no one outside of Pace attempts to receive an account.
Step 5: You may log into WRDS and begin using your new account. Because our service is internet-based, you can access WRDS from anywhere in the world!
