ENG 302: Composition Theory & Practice: Home

Welcome to the ENG 302 Research Guide! Read the information on this page and be sure you have your Library Barcode, and register for the ILLiad Interlibrary Loan service. When searching the databases, you can use the ILLiad service to request articles that the Pace Library does not have immediate access to in full-text.

Please use the tabs above to navigate through the guide and access recommended resources.

Getting Help

If you are not finding what you need, please contact a librarian.  Feel free to talk to any of the librarians on staff. We are here to help.

Stop by the reference desk in person, or visit the Ask a Librarian link to chat, e-mail, or call for answers to your research related questions.

The Basics

Do you have a Library barcode?

A library barcode allows you to request items from other Pace Library locations, to request books from Connect NY libraries in New York State, and it is necessary to create an account in our Interlibrary Loan service.

If you do not have a barcode, you can get one at the Circulation/Front Desk in the Library. (You can also request your barcode via email.)

Interlibrary Loan

When you find an article listed in a database, and the article is not immediately available to read, use the Search for Item button to search Pace's periodical holdings. If you get a message that directs you to use the ILLiad Interlibrary Loan service to request a copy of the article, follow the link.

  • Articles (pdf files/photocopies) can take anywhere from 24 hours to a few days to obtain.
  • Books, conference proceedings and other documents are also available for request and can be picked up at your home campus Library.
