This web tool enables users to learn more about our City’s community districts through interactive graphics and maps that help illustrate each district’s built environment, socio-economic and demographic characteristics. It also includes a wealth of data and resources that can be easily downloaded in different formats.
Use the Interactive Census FactFinder to create population profiles from the 2000 census by census tract(s) or by community district. or find information on the Newest New Yorkers, Population and Housing Characteristics, Historical Population Information and more using the tools on the Department of Planning's website.
This map displays individual, interior, and scenic landmarks, as well as historic districts in all five boroughs. This map also provides detailed building by building information for all buildings and sites within individual landmarks and historic districts. Users can click on designated buildings and sites for designation reports, photos, and additional information including construction date, architect, and style. Click on the legend icon on the left of the map screen to identify properties that are color -coded by landmark type.
