Citation Management: EndNote

EndNote is a citation management software that can be installed onto your computer and allows you to download article citations, organize them into groups, and create accurate in-text and reference page citations. The "Cite While You Write" function integrates with Microsoft products to allow you to insert citations as you create documents.

EndNote is free for current Pace students. After graduation, you will need to pay a subscription to maintain the software.

Citation Management: Zotero

Zotero is a citation management software that can be as a web-based library in your browser and/or installed onto your computer. You can download article citations, organize them into groups, and create accurate in-text and reference page citations. It is not as robust as EndNote but the positive trade-off is that it is less complex to use.

Zotero is free and the creators have no intentions of changing that in the near future.

Removing Duplicates

As you search multiple databases, there will be situations where you will have duplicate articles in your results sets. EndNote and Zotero provide tools to assist with locating duplicates in any records that you import.

Resources for Citations

If you choose not to use a citation manager, there are still valuable resources you can use to develop accurate citations.
