Requesting Books, Chapter, and Articles from Other LIbraries

You may request that the Pace Libraries obtain resources for you. Click the INTERLIBRARY LOAN link under QUICK LINKS on the right side of the Pace Libraries website.

When you're searching in a database that is not 100% full text, use the SEARCH FOR ITEM button to see if the article is available in another database. If it is, you'll see a link to follow to find it. If it's not, you'll see a link to InterLibrary Loan. When you make an ILL request through a database, all the fields will be filled out for you automatically! You just have to submit your request.  When you make an ILL request through the book catalog (Libraries Worldwide), the same is true. But if you initiate an ILL request using the link in the blue box, you have to fill out the fields yourself. Just FYI.

Here's an example of what a Libraries Worldwide search results looks like, with the ILL option on right:

ILL requests for articles and book chapters are often completed within 48 hours. We can't request entire e-books but can request chapters. Those are also completed within 48 hours typically. Print books take longer since we have to wait for another library to send to 15 Beekman.

We send an email when we've obtained your requested material. If you haven't heard from the library in a while, check your junk or spam folders to make sure our messages didn't land there. You can also log into your ILL account to view progress.
