Most of the databases the library subscribes to includes many tools to help you, including citation information. For example, notice the VIEW CITATION option in this record in Project Muse database:

You can simply copy and paste the appropriate citation. You are responsible, however, for the overall correctness of your references, so do double check everything. You'll need to assemble your Works Cited (MLA) or References (APA) pages in alphabetical order, unless you use a tool like End Note or Zotero.
Note that each database does things a bit differently, so be on the lookout for tools like the citation button, email button, permalink, etc. You may need to hover your mouse over a symbol to learn what it represents.
